This month, Brooklyn's Sightings play Vancouver, touring in support of their new full-length, City of Straw. Sightings are renowned for absolutely killer live performances + this is the first chance for Vancouver to bear witness to the jaw-dropping noise and propulsive rhythms of one of most exciting bands making "rock" music in the new millenium (a band which remains relatively + puzzlingly obscure despite a perpetual + universal acclaim for their music, both live and recorded, including heavy praise from Thurston Moore, Andrew WK, and Pitchfork, to name but a few). Definitely not a show to be missed.
